Greetings:

My name is Monica Ann Shuman and I am a fundraising assistant with S.O.D.A. (Service Opportunities for Disabled Americans). As a representative for S.O.D.A., I have taken on a fundraising effort to help a project close to my heart, the Borto Deseret International Orphanage and School, in the small town of Harrisburg, Liberia in Africa.

I am a member of the Total Experience Gospel Choir. The choir has agreed to do a fundraising concert for S.O.D.A. and the Borto Project, which are both 501(c) 3 non-profit organizations. The concert will be held on Sunday, June 6 at 2 p.m., University Christian Church, located at 4731 15th Ave NE, Seattle, 98105. We are requesting a suggested donation of $25.00 (or whatever attendees can afford) at the door. Additional information about S.O.D.A. and the Borto project is available at the S.O.D.A. website: www.sodamoon.com.

The Total Experience Gospel Choir is a well-known choir which has entertained around the United States and in several countries and members of the choir perform annually at “Black Nativity” at Seattle’s Intiman Theatre in December. The Choir is directed by Pastor Pat Wright who is very well known and respected. The choir consists of members ranging in age from 6-73. They sing a variety of traditional and contemporary gospel music. For additional information regarding the choir, please visit their website: www.totalexperiencegospelchoir.org.

We would very much like you to publicize this event, which will be a thrilling experience for those who attend, besides contributing to two good causes. Ideally, publicity should begin by the end of April or beginning of May, if possible.

Thank you for anything you can do to assist me with publicity for this event. If further information is needed, feel free to contact me at monica@sodamoon.com or 206-440-3114.

Yours sincerely,

Monica Ann Shuman
